I remember my senior year very well. All of a sudden, it wasn’t all fun and games anymore. I was about to make some major life decisions and nothing scared me most than making the wrong ones. If we’re being honest, there is a lot of pressure that last year of high school and it’s a heavy load to bear. I had heard that it was supposed to be best time of my life, and yet I wanted it to be done with ASAP. For me, I was worried about ruining my GPA that I had worked so hard for, feared I would disappoint my parents, didn’t know what to do about college, and simply put: I WAS SCARED OUT OF MY MIND.
I worried and worried but by the time I graduated I rested with an overwhelming peace knowing that God would always hold me in His hands.
If you’re a senior in the same boat as I was, don’t worry about tomorrow. Prepare for the changes, but know that God’s plan is awesome and He will direct your path. STRESS LESS. Step away from the drama, ignore the debbie downers, and enjoy these last few months with your friends.
And one last thing..just know that you can be brave and take a risk. I’m confident that you can accomplish great things if you put your mind to it. I know that’s something very cliché to say, but it’s true. The only barrier between you and making things happen is you. So, throw your fear and doubt out the window and embrace this season of change! YOU. CAN. DO. IT!
You’re gonna do great things, kid.
Good luck on your next semester, and finish strong. I believe in you!
