Summer Blue Heron Brewery & Event Center Wedding in Medina | Jenna & Alex

This beautiful July wedding day at the Blue Heron Brewery & Event Center in Medina was long-awaited! I originally photographed Alex & Jenna’s engagement session in July of 2019, and two years later we finally got to celebrate their special day! Last year, they went ahead and eloped in Hilton Head with their families present. However, they kept all of their plans for their wedding and it was so unbelievably stunning. And that’s really no surprise at all because there’s something you should know about Jenna…She’s a fantastic wedding photographer!

She took our headshots a few years ago, and we still use them. Like us, she spends her weekends at weddings, which exposes you to a lot of different wedding vibes. It was clear that Jenna had thoughtfully put together the details of their wedding day. When Jenna sent me a sneak peek when she chose her dress, my jaw dropped! So pretty. The dusty blue Azazie dresses the bridesmaids wore, complimented the most beautiful soft, colorful florals from Dietz Floral Studio. Jenna’s bouquet was perfectly balanced and added the right amount of whimsical.

We were truly so flattered that Jenna and Alex chose us as their wedding photographers! Obviously, photographing another wedding photographer’s wedding is no pressure…no pressure at all. (*insert nervous laughter*) It was definitely one of those days where I had to take a moment to pause, take a deep breath, and remind myself that this is something I’ve done a hundred times over.

We are so thankful for the people that this industry has brought into our lives, and we’re so lucky to have been a part of Jenna and Alex’s beautiful day at the Blue Heron Brewery & Event Center!

Jenna left this bit of advice for our future couples. “Be sure to take some time on your wedding day to take everything in and talk to one another without any interruptions. The day goes by so incredibly fast. Also, it’s YOUR wedding day, be sure to do what makes YOU happy, not just what you think your guests will prefer.”
