Cleveland Wedding Photographer in Detroit

This summer we took a road trip out to Detroit to photograph Mackenzie & Zach’s engagement session. We’ll be photographing their wedding next year in Cleveland, but it was amazing to see their town and all the things that make Detroit special. Mackenzie had a very distinct vision for their engagement session and it was fun get to know them as we planned ahead for their photos. Some people say that mood boards are too much and impede the artist’s vision, but honestly: I love it.

When you know what someone wants, it’s a lot easier to deliver it. Furthermore, I feel like it gives me permission to try new things and create in new ways.There are few pieces that I really love in this set, and I particularly loved the black and white film images I got from this session. They felt old school and classy.

Overall, it was such a blast walking throughout Detroit with these two, and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year in Cleveland!
